Overcoming 116lb Weight Loss Challenges for Lasting Success

I want to start by saying I wasn't always big. I was actually smaller my entire life up until I got pregnant with my first. I gained so much weight, not having a healthy support system & A doctor ( recommended by my oldest sister) I was just turning 21 & PREGNANT! How funny is that though?
I was 21, My "Children's Bio" wasn't the best partner or support in any way shape or form. My Parents, Uh they where not the Best but hey I am not going to complain haha That is what another blog post is for haha.. So My OBGYN is never in office right, she does other doctor things beside babies. She is always busy, I think in the 41 weeks and 2 days I carried that child I am certain I had an appointment with HER Twice? it was so odd and unfamiliar when she was there, The first time meeting her I remember it was my 35 week appointment and she came in and said Miranda we need to discuss our weight. In my head I am thinking "OUR WEIGHT" as she stands there being 6 foot tall legs for days skinny & fit as you could want to be you know? I had no idea what I was doing. If I craved it I ate it, apparently you are NOT suppose to do that, who knew? LOL I cant help but laugh when I think about that appointment. Overall when I got pregnant I was 132 after I was 202. I started almost the second my feet hit the front door INSANITY it was the big workout the big thing my sister was all over it ranting and raving... So here we go Keto & INSANITY anyone heard of keto? Of course we have its 2026 well back in 2012 I was rather new to the KETO hype right along side the apple cider vinegar craze. People will truly try anything no hard feeling to any of us who tried something thinking it was going to magically take 50lbs off. I was 21, Freshly postpartum, Oh I am vegetarian and on this Keto diet & INSANITY is kicking me right in the *** I last all of 32.. SECONDS maybe 32 second that is, my sister kicked its ** meanwhile I am over here DYING. Her thrilling ideas of 30 carbs a day... I don't eat meat and we live in America where everything is roughly 30 carbs PER SERVING ( the serving size being 2. tea spoons ) haha I know a little bit of a jump but you know what I'm saying? I lost like 12lbs in 4-5 days and I kept getting so sick and light headed. I left my sisters house making my way to my parents and finally my dad was like that's enough making me eat!
I went from 190-178lbs After I went back to being normal I gained it all back.
I then tried turbo fire & that's where I succeeded.

I went from 190 to 165lbs I maintained this weight for 4.5 years this is when I got pregnant with my 2nd baby, I did such a much better job this time maintaining a healthy weight gain within and after my pregnancy. staying between 180-190 for YEARS upon YEARS size 20-22 jeans so un healthy. No matter how many calories I cut how many workouts I tried I could not lose any weight. ( lets year jump from 2016-2019 ) I decided I was going to end my long term relationship with my children's (BIO Father) around 2019-2020 I got super into my job being a single mom I now needed to support 2 children 5 and under. After I got to where I wanted with my job & saving for a home I decided to in the heat of the market BUY MY FIRST HOME!! haha I KNOW what was I thinking so right at the end of COVID heat of the market I apply for my Loan and get APPROVED & immediately start house shopping. took me most of 2020 looking for homes when January 2021 came along & BAM, I met my husband ( BLOG COMING SOON) We started dating & in fact our 1st date was house shopping! haha ( speeding up August 2021 ) WE FOUND OUR HOME!! Moved in & Between 2019-2022 I had 4 foot surgeries causing me to lose muscle and gain weight. I went from 189- 203lbs (Fast forward 2021-2022) I got pregnant with my 3rd and FINAL baby! I had the most stressful high risk pregnancy. I got preeclampsia around 30 weeks pregnant. I went from 190-279lbs in the hospital after delivery! I had such a hard time losing any weight from this pregnancy I left the hospital I weighed 264lbs my legs were bigger than my entire body full of fluids from having to be induced 5 weeks early. The second we got home after our 2 week stay in the NICU with B POST PARTUM DEPRESSION SET IN,... and I had never experienced anything like it before to know what I was feeling wasn't ok. I turned into a very ugly person hating myself from my body almost harming my baby and making her living without me 5 weeks early when she NEEDED me! I hit hard into PPD. My husband got lost into his new work he had just joined into IT. The baby cried night and day and no one in the house wanted to help with the baby. My husband insisted on going to the couch so he could sleep for work & I didn't disagree he was the only one bringing in an income. So after he went to the couch I was with B, 24/7. I stayed at 255lbs for about 6 months because having such a clingy baby & losing myself in PPD I didn't have a support system to reach out to so I managed it alone. My doctors office wouldn't see me because I had an outstanding bill because you have a payment plan, 40 weeks you pay off within your pregnancy BUT I DELIVERED 5 weeks early and owed this place money. I didn't have professional help either no medications NOTHING I literally faced this completely on my own. Jan. 07. 2024 My life changed in a pretty drastic way ( a blog for another time ) I went from 255lbs turning my focus from life and the events happening and turned it into personal strength I knew I needed it. and lost 116lbs from Jan, Feb, March, April.. May I was 139lbs.

I have videos posted on my TikTok if you care to see the 116lb difference. I have maintained my weight loss HOWEVER I have gained weight ( 25lbs) to be exact. I decided to live my best summer & man did I!
I am now down another 10lbs since December. Goal of 135lbs. I would like to see it by MAY!! haha summer bod baby! WHAT WORKS FOR ME MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU! please remember I am only here sharing my journey my life and my side of things. I started fasting for 10 hours then 12 then 14 then 16 all the way to 18 and maintained that for months I didn't eat after 7pm no matter what and then not again for 18 hours from then. I have fasted for 5 days twice and its not terrible my first 5 hour fast I did carbs inside drinks like 3carbs in my water flavor. However my second fast for 5 days I went into deep ketosis and lost 3lbs I did not have any carbs for 5 days. I truly love intermittent fasting it takes my bloat away and keeps me from over eating i have a LOVE with food. I am now super into carbs, health and fitness getting clean and into healthier lifestyle. I will be sharing more into my fasting & the foods we eat in our home.
